Check out the first 8 Minutes of ABC's new Series "V"
V, which premieres on Tuesday, November 3rd at 8:00pm PT. For those who don’t know, V is a re-imagining of the 1980s miniseries about the world’s first encounter with an alien race
Simultaneously appearing over every major city in the world, the Visitors (or V’s) promote a message of peace. Through their generous offer to share advanced technology, the V’s build a following that may actually hide a more malevolent agenda, one that twists a very deep component of human nature — devotion. While the world quickly becomes fascinated with the V’s and their link to wonders just beyond the reach of human understanding, FBI Counter Terrorist Agent Erica Evans (Elizabeth Mitchell) discovers a secret hidden beneath the skin of every V - a secret that may threaten the lives of everyone close to her. Yet for her teenage son, Tyler (Logan Huffman), the V’s are his ticket to something big and hopeful-a new chance for mankind to unite in common goals. To Chad Decker (Scott Wolf), a career-hungry news anchor, his exclusive interview with Anna (Morena Baccarin), the leader of the V’s, is crucial to his dominating the airwaves. Also unsure about the Visitors is Father Jack (Joel Gretsch), a priest questioning his faith in the wake of the Visitors’ arrival. Seeking answers outside the church, Father Jack discovers there are other dissidents who believe the Visitors are not who they say they are, including Ryan Nichols (Morris Chestnut), who is faced with his own life-altering decision when the V’s show up. Never has there been more at stake — it truly is the dawning of a new day. “V” also stars Lourdes Benedicto as Ryan’s fianc’e, Valerie, and Laura Vandervoort as Lisa, an alluring Visitor who sets her sights on Tyler.

Guy Ritchie to direct DC Comics Lobo
Guy Ritchie has been signed on to direct DC Comics Lobo for Warner Bros. Joel Silver, Akiva Goldsman and Andrew Rona will produce.
The character first appeared in June 1983, created by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen, Lobo was an alien who works as an interstellar mercenary and bounty hunter. He later had a huge resurgence as an anti-hero biker in the 1990’s. Which incarnation will be featured in the big screen adaptation?
Lobo’s origins as a hellish, discarded infant are said to be revealed briefly, while the plot centers on him tracking down the four worst, alien criminals in a universe gone to shit. The LR guys take issue with the plot moving to Earth, and compare this twist to Masters of the Universe. Yeah, that’s terrible. They also jokingly point out that Lobo is so much the “badass” that he guns a motorcycle through space. Some of the violence and nudity sound intact—a requisite comparison to Heavy Metal—but overall, it reeks of big-franchise compromise.

1st official picture from James Cameron's AVATAR
Click on the image to enlarge
This is the 1st official picture from James Cameron's AVATAR.In this picture you see, Sam Worthington who plays Jake Sully a paraplegic war veteran, who gets the opportunity to travel to another planet, Pandora, to work with a mining operation. Because the planet is so harsh, traditional armor and envirosuit solutions are not good enough to protect miners, and a clone program has developed in which DNA from humans and Na’vi, the natives that inhabit Pandora, are combined. The result is essentially a cloned Na’vi that can house the consciousness of an individual with human DNA. This means that Jake will be able to walk again. The photo above shows Sully in front of the tank that houses his Avatar.

Futurama gets new life. New Episodes ordered
Comedy Central has ordered 26 new episodes for the series that just won't go away. New shows should start airing in early mid 2010
According to 20th Century Fox TV Chairmen Gary Newman and Dana Walden:
When we brought back Family Guy several years ago, everyone said that it was a once in a lifetime thing — that canceled series stay canceled and cannot be revived. But Futurama was another series that fans simply demanded we bring back, and we couldn’t have been happier when Matt and David agreed that there were many more stories yet to tell.
New Pictures From Iron Man 2: MIckey Rourke as Whiplash
Paramount Pictures just released some new pictures of Mickey Rourke as Whiplash in the upcoming movie "Iron Man 2"
The suit, which the Russian criminals put together, consists of a pair of whips, powered by the glowing chest piece. Director Jon Favreau says that the technology used in Rourke’s suit is “definitely related” to the tech developed by Tony Stark, and “that’s part of the core theme of the film.”

David Carradine Found Dead in his hotel Room
Oscar-nominated actor David Carradine was found dead in his Bangkok hotel room yesterday. He had been in the city shooting a movie when the film’s producer found Carradine. According to the BBC a hotel maid found him in a closet with a rope around his neck and body.
Carradine’s manager Chuck Binder tells Fox News his death is “shocking and sad. He was full of life, always wanting to work…a great person.”
David Carradine is best known for his leading role of Kwai Chang Caine on the 1970s series Kung Fu, and most recently his role in Kill Bill.
The AP reports a preliminary police investigation found that he had hanged himself with a cord used with the room's curtains. It cited police as saying he had been dead at least 12 hours and there was no sign that he had been assaulted.
Here are some scenes from his movies
